Summer Sprint 2025 Registration is now open.
The Summer Sprint Workshop Series is a generative workshop for writers of any level. This year the workshop is divided into two sessions on poetry and two sessions on prose. You can pick and choose sessions or register for all four.
Each genre set will focus developing new work. The exercises will be scaffolded and build on each other with the ultimate goal being that you’ll have 2-4 new poems and 1-2 new stories/essays started by the end of the series. We’ll save 10 minutes or so near the end for questions and further discussion.
New to the workshop series is a revision workshop. Participants who register for it will submit writing to Savannah and will read the submissions of the other participants in their genre (participation for this workshop is limited to keep the workload light). You’ll receive feedback during the session from participants and Savannah, as well as written feedback from Savannah. There will also be discussion about potential revision exercises that might help as you work on the piece you submit.
Writers submit 3 pages of poetry or 5 pages of prose from the Summer Sprint workshop by June 16th. Packets are sent to revision workshop participants, and we’ll spend 15 minutes discussing each person’s submission and looking at potential revision exercises.

Each session will be from 9:00-10:30am via Zoom
